Ways to Give
SA Basset Adoptions rely heavily on the goodwill nature of others who love our furry friends as much as we do. Though there are many ways to help, donations is still key in delivering the services we have to offer.
Why do we need donations?
Unfortunately, adoption fees rarely deal with the medical assistance most of the dogs need when they are surrendered to us. Most often, the dogs are malnourished, have dentistry issues or need specialised medical care.

Adoption fees mostly covers (but not all) sterilisations, microchip and shots the dogs need before handed over to their new owners. The money donated goes towards:
-
Our vet bills, which includes sterilisations, vaccinations, microchips, deworming, dental treatment and other specialised medical care where needed.
-
Boarding fees for our bassets in boarding facilities
-
Food & treats for our fosters and rescues
-
Bedding for our kennels dogs
-
Relocation costs getting rescues to their new forever homes
Volunteer
Foster Home
Bassets thrive in home environments. Contact us if you are interested in providing a temporary home for a basset. Terms and conditions apply.
Help at the Kennels
Our bassets in the boarding facility love to be spoiled. You can join us on a Saturday, or selected times during the week to provide some much needed love and attention.
Drive-a-Dog
We often require transport for our dogs for medical treatment, or to their news. You can help by driving our dogs.
Sponsor a Foster
If you cannot foster or adopt, you can sponsor one of our dogs in foster care or at the boarding facilities.
